Spring Tree Planting
Join us in a pivotal moment of action and connection at Yellow Barn Farm on April 26, 2025 for our annual Spring Tree Planting!

We strongly encourage carpooling!
What to Bring: Comfortable, weather-appropriate, durable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and gloves. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. We will provide the tools.
Timeline: We’ll gather for a light breakfast at 9 AM. We have exciting family-friendly programming happening throughout the day. Following our morning tree planting, a free lunch will be provided around midday, followed by an afternoon of planting. We would love for you to stay as long as you can!
* We will provide all sorts of libations
* Local food available all day!
* This event will continue rain, snow or shine (fingers crossed for shine)
RSVP: Your participation is a vital thread in the fabric of our community! It's always a radical time to come together to jam, plant and participate in tending to this Earth with purpose & play.
Why Plant Trees?
- We believe in a livable future
- We want to retain more water, all the while creating food in the face of widespread food insecurity
- To continue to research what works and what doesn't
- To replant species that are thriving - we've been tracking what trees do best in our bioregion for 8 years!
- To connect with each other and build community - involving our youth every step of the way!
- Trees are the cornerstone of our regenerative design (restoring topsoil, inviting biodiversity, and sequestering carbon!)
- They are the breath of our ecosystem, vital to the resurgence of life in Boulder County
In the face of desertification, where our land lies bare and biodiversity scarce, we see not desolation but potential.
